If you are upgrading to the Extreme 180 motors, get the heat sinks as well. They help the new motors run cooler and extend the life of the brushes.

I put the SE 180 motors in and tried flying with and without the heat sinks. I mounted these at the very bottom of the motors. I can go through two batt packs flying very at a very aggressive rate without having to stop for cool down.
Worth the money!
