This is by far the most important upgrade you can buy for your CX2, no more vibration with this stiff CF light weight solution! The stock plastic main frame always cause my whole CX2 to shake at low to mid throttle because it was so flexable, the main outer shaft didn't line up the gear mesh as good as it could have been! Now my gear mesh is PERFECT, no more stripped teeth on my spur gears now that I have delrin spur gears.

This is by far the best thing I've done to Mr. Blade - everything fits snug like a hug on this frame!!! I was expecting better feel but I got much more than that... It flies more quiet, more stable, more powerful, more responsive, and better in every way. The frame weighs 4.8 grams (I know some people like exact numbers) more than the stock plastic one.

This is my first experiance with Microheli.
Bought this because i was tired of buying CX2 frame sets. I kept shearing the tailboom mount off in violent crashes.
Fit was poor compared to other brands of CX2 parts. I had to shave the mast hole and the aft mount on the carbon plate to assemble the frame correctly. Feels heavy too for alum/fiber parts.(My digital scale is broke)
Performance IS AWESOME!
SMOOTH FLIGHT, BETTER CONTROL and QUIET!
Way better flight charastics than the e-flite parts.
We'll see on the durability.......haven't had any gnarley crashes since it flies so much better now.
4-Stars because of the poor fit/quality.
Extreme: Wake up and make this part better/lighter.

Unexpected Improvements |

I upgraded to the aluminum frame for "crash resistance," but I wasn't expecting further performance improvements. Due to the stronger frame and the tighter, more precise, shaft mount & bearings, the "noise" of the gears is so much less that I dare say there's a performance gain due to the reduced friction.
Since it's aluminum there's no "give" like in the stock plastic frame, so the motors are also mounted more securely with less vibration.
I did have a little difficulty getting the shaft mount screwed onto the main plate, as the shaft hole was drilled a little too small. But after "trimming" the hole out with a hobby knife I got a perfect fit. For those who encounter that same problem, I advise trimming the hole out with a hobby knife rather then trying to drill it out with a drill bit or a demel tool, as you'll get a better and tighter fit by "sanding" the aluminum away.
Note: I purchased this product elsewhere, combining it with another order to save on shipping.
