Everybody has the ugly blue aluminum parts so I had to be different. I admit that I ordered the silver bearing housing because of its appearance, however if you add the intershaft and hub, lower head, and swashplate it is worth every penny when you visit your local hobby shop with your bird and everyone ohh and ahhs.
The aluminum housing and bearing only weighs .1 gram more than the plastic factory part.
I upgraded the intershaft and hub, lower head, inner shaft bearing, and swashplate with Microheli silver parts. The total weight difference for everything was 2.7 grams heavier. I know this sounds expensive however since the upgrades I have not had to replace the inner or lower shaft. I contribute this to the upgrades, however I may be learning to fly better.
