Everybody has the ugly blue main rotor hub so I had to be different. I admit that I ordered the intershaft with the silver hub because of its appearance. However I have been really impressed with the strength of the steel intershaft, it is rock solid.
I am a newbie at heli flight and I crash a lot. I was going through approximately one factory intershaft and hub every two weeks until this baby. I am still using the original one I ordered with no vibration. It weighs 1.7 grams more that the factory plastic hub and shaft, however it looks so sweet.
I upgraded the intershaft and hub, lower head, inner shaft bearing, and swashplate with Microheli silver parts. The total weight difference for everything was 2.7 grams heavier. I know this sounds expensive however since the upgrades I have not had to replace the inner or lower shaft. I contribute this to the upgrades, however I may be learning to fly better.
